What is Omnitool.ai ?

Omnitool is a platform that enables users to discover, learn, and build with Artificial Intelligence in a single, unified space.

Explore a vast library of ready-to-use AI recipes across various domains
Learn how AI works through hands-on experimentation and a supportive community
Build custom AI solutions using modular building blocks and extensible architecture

Omnitool is designed to facilitate AI exploration, innovation, and collaboration for users of all levels.

Context and challenges

We are in 2023, Chat GPT is barely 2 years old. AI is in all the mouth, so much that the word is the most trending word of the year. So much that it is impossible to distinguish noise from news, the number of scientific papers are exploding. AI is everywhere marketed as the magical solution, yet there is very few education on the risk and issues AI can generate in a personal and corporate world.

3 major challenges:
- Cutting through the noise of constant flow (of sometimes fake) news
- FOMO of potential users, everything is evolving so fast that it is impossible to verify if an AI solution is viable
- The very fast pace of innovation doesn't allow to test and learn solutions

Target audience:
Engineers, AI enthusiasts, Universities, Students, entreprises that want to test and learn possibilities with AI technology.

Research and iterations:

The team was composed of 8 engineers and 1 designer (me), all ex Meta.
I was in charge of helping front end engineers to solve visual problems and simplify the UI. Simplifying was our main moto, but we were facing extremely complex and diverse inputs from different platforms.

The structure:
Blocks are the core elements, together they make workflows, and then you have extensions, that can make up everything.

Building the product was one of the main job, designing the interface but also build content that can sustain the exploration of the platform and then build tutorials to explain how to use AI safely.

The biggest challenge here is to keep the mind of being a first user and don't dive into the bias of knowing the product and therefor think it is simple to use. With an ever changing technology. back en engineers were facing constant changes of API and implementation to keep the platform afloat.

  • Yearbook Photo Studio

    Utilise a combination of LLM, the text-to-image Stable Diffusion XL Model, and face-swap techniques to transform a user's current photo into a retro yearbook image.

  • OmniLab:SDXL Image Resolution

    A side-by-side comparison to experiment the importance of using the right image size to achieve the best performance from the Stable Diffusion XL (SDXL) models.

  • Emoji Generator

    Generate custom, high-resolution Apple-style emojis with this small app powered by a fine-tuned Stable Diffusion XL Model. Input your desired emoji details and subject to create personalized emojis with option to remove the background.

  • Persona Builder 2.0

    Create tailored personas for your product strategy. This app utilizes LLM in multiple shots to generate personas based on your product's context. It also saves the results in formatted markdown file.


  • Illusion Diffusion

    Experience the power of the fine-tuned Stable Diffusion model with ControlNet to blend a logo into text-to-image processes. Just upload a logo and provide the generation prompt.


  • App Icon Studio

    Use fine-tuned diffusion models to transform your brief description into custom app icons.



  • LLM Agent

    A simple LLM recipe for use with the /setname command for quick text generation.



  • Public Speaking Coach


    Combining LLM and text-to-speech, this app serves as a personal public speech coach. It provides feedback on your transcripts and offers audio demonstrations to help improve your speaking skills.

  • Image Description Generator

    Generate textual descriptions for images using the Llava-13b model. This application allows you to upload an image and receive a description in return.

  • Children Storybook Creator

    Utilise LLM in conjunction with stable diffusion and text-to-speech to convert basic ideas into visually appealing storybook illustrations and text, accompanied by a spoken narrative.

  • Photograph Generator

    Generate stunning photographs with AI. This small app utilizes Stable Diffusion XL model to create a photo based on your input description.



  • Essay Reviewer

    A cautionary tale about the potential pitfalls of relying solely on Large Language Models to automate the process of reviewing essays.



  • Teaching with AI:
    Lesson Planner

    Utilise LLMs to assist educators in streamlining their lesson planning process by specifying the topic to be taught, the grade level of the students, and the learning goal for the lesson.

  • Kids' Answer Engine -
    100 Thousand Whys

    Drawing inspiration from the Chinese children's science series, "100 Thousand Whys," this recipe creates a small chat bot that answers "why" questions by curious youngsters using a combination of Large Language Model and Stable Diffusion for text and illustration.

  • OpenAPI Spec Generator


    Generate an OpenAPI specification YAML file directly from API documentation using Large Language Model (LLM) with prompt tweaking.

  • Horoscope Reader

    Utilizes the Large Language Model (LLM) to generate personalized horoscope readings based on the user's name and birth. The app offers spiritual guidance and insights by generating horoscope predictions specific to the user.

  • OmniLab:
    Stable Diffusion 101

    A simple image generation demo to help you kick-start your journey with the Stable Diffusion model, combined with image manipulation tasks like upscaling. Feel free to experiment with the parameters to achieve different results.

  • Food PhotoMaker

    Utilise the Large Language Model (LLM) and the Stable Diffusion XL to generate a description and visually appealing food photography based on your culinary idea.

  • Teaching with AI:
    AI Tutor

    Leverage LLM to craft an upbeat, encouraging AI tutor, aiding students in grasping concepts by providing explanations tailored to each student's learning level and prior knowledge.

  • Book Recommendation

    An app that offers book recommendations based on the images provided by the user. It leverages the CLIP (Contrastive Language-Image Pre-Training) model alongside LLM to interpret the images and generate pertinent book suggestions.

  • Coloring Page Generator

    Generate custom coloring pages accompanied by rhymes using a combination of LLM and a fine-tuned Stable Diffusion model. Simply provide a description and enjoy the tailored coloring page with children.
