In collaboration with Very! and guided by the vision of urban farmer Chris Leow, this ambitious project explores the future of farming—above the sea. Over one year, Chris set out to build a floating farm that is fully self-sufficient in food, water, and energy.

Our role at El pasto was to bridge the scientific and emotional layers of the story—crafting a visual language that could engage a wide audience while staying true to the project’s experimental spirit.

Our aim: make sustainability ideas feel accessible, exciting, and deeply human.

Designing:
We led the creative direction for all infographics across the series. This meant developing a visual system rooted in a mix of blueprint logic and expressive craft.
Our approach blended:
Blueprint schematics, used as evolving design frames for technical moments.
Hand-drawn illustrations, to add warmth and reflect the experimental, human-driven nature of the project.
Each graphic piece was designed to support the storytelling—from imagined future coastlines to deep dives into seaweed farming and floating architecture.

Results:
Our seamless motion approach played a crucial role in transforming dense, technical content into visuals that are both engaging and easy to retain. By combining clarity with craft, we helped the audience connect emotionally with complex sustainability ideas.

A tight collaboration with the Very! team allowed us to continually push the visuals and animation further—finding that sweet spot between education and entertainment.
A series that not only informs but captivates, keeping viewers curious and invested in the journey.
